82 New Patients in July (With No Sign Out the Front)

We had 82 new patients walk through our clinic doors in July.

Here is the part that still makes us smile: we were closed for 9 of those days.

And here is the part that makes the whole thing worth writing about. We did it without a sign out the front of the building.

Clearly the building needed remedial works done but we had rented this space given it's exposure.

If you have followed our story, you will know we recently lost our external signage at the Manly Vale clinic. After a dispute over the sign and with makegood costs to weigh up, we made the call not to reinstall it. So for anyone walking or driving past, there is nothing announcing that what we can do for your feet.

For a lot of practice owners, that would be a disaster. The sign is the marketing plan.

Take it away and the phone stops ringing.

That did not happen for us. Not even close.

Why the sign never mattered as much as we thought

Let us reframe those numbers. July had 31 days. We were shut for 9 of them. That left us with 22 trading days, and 82 new patients came through in that window. That is more than three brand new patients every single day we were open, arriving at a clinic that a passer by cannot even see.

Those patients did not stumble in off the street. They found us on purpose. They searched for help with their heel pain or their bunions, they read something useful, they watched a video, they clicked an ad, and they booked. By the time they arrived, the sign on the door was the last thing on their mind. They already knew who we were and why they wanted to see us.

That is the whole point of a marketing system. It does the finding, the educating and the booking for you, quietly, every day, whether your doors are open or not.

The systems that actually brought them in

None of this was luck. Every one of those 82 patients can be traced back to something we have built and tested inside our own clinic. Here is what did the heavy lifting.

Search that answers real questions. We have spent a long time building genuine authority around the problems we treat, especially bunions and plantar fasciitis for people across Sydney. When someone types their symptoms into Google at 10pm, we want our clinic to be the clear, trustworthy answer waiting for them. That work compounds month after month and July was one of the months it paid off.

Google Ads that catch people ready to book. Search rankings are the long game. Paid search is how we make sure we are in front of the person who needs an appointment this week, not next quarter. Run properly, it is one of the most reliable ways to turn a search into a booked new patient.

A content engine that never sleeps. Every clinical video our lead practitioner records gets turned into blog posts, social captions, carousels and video descriptions. One recording becomes a week of content that keeps educating and reassuring people long after it is filmed. That is what builds trust before anyone ever picks up the phone.

Consistency, scheduled in advance. The reason it all keeps running while we are closed is that it is planned and scheduled ahead of time. The marketing does not take a day off just because we do.

Why we are telling you this

At Clinic Growth System we have one rule. We test before we do. We do not recommend anything to a clinic owner that we have not first proven inside our own practice.

July is exactly why that matters. We got to run the ultimate stress test on our own marketing. No sign out the front. Almost a third of the month closed. And still 82 new patients chose our clinic. That is not a nice story we invented for a blog. It is what happened in our own reception and it is the same set of systems we build for the practices we work with.

If your growth still depends on people noticing your sign, walking past at the right moment or telling a friend, you are leaving your calendar to chance. There is a better way, and it keeps working even on the days you are not.
